Pharmacists, especially those of you who work in an outpatient setting, we would really appreciate your help with a very brief (2 minute) survey. We are curious to know more about the use of the term “as directed” in prescription directions. Is it still used very much, given the significant increase in electronic prescribing? We’d like to know with which drugs you most commonly see “as directed,” and what the impact is for providing clear directions on the pharmacy-generated label.
